Ireland!

Hello from Dublin's fair city!

We got to Ireland safely at lunch time yesterday, and boy oh boy does travel take something out of you! We had lunch and got a bus tour around Dublin, including St. Patrick's Cathedral. We also saw Croke Park today, where they play Irish footy amongst other things.

Tomorrow we're on the road again!

We have an A-Team like vehicle rented which is absolutely hilarious! It's like a mini monster truck!

I'd also like to pay tribute to a guy I worked with, Colin, who died recently. He was the AV guy so I had to work with him a fair bit. He was a great guy, always very funny. Cancer's such a bitch.

Hello again!

Hi all! I'm currently in London, though it's my last day here. Tomorrow we head to IRELAND! YAY! I've had hardly any time to post so sorry about that! We've seen Edinburgh castle, which was heaps cool, Glasgow, and heaps of country Scotland in the past week, as well as Buckingham palace, The London Eye, and the Tower of London, and done stacks of shopping since I last wrote a blog here. It's been so much fun! My favourite part has been London, it's so awesome! There are heaps of cool shops (yay!) and is kinda like Melbourne, but has far more historical stuff and castles and other cool stuff that Melbourne doesn't. We've seen my cousin Jacinta a few times now which has been hella cool- We dont' see her often as she lives here and not in Melbourne. We're trying to convincer her to come to Melbourne for Andy and Peta's wedding (any griffos reading this might want to send her a pestering email! HAHAH)
So excited about Ireland tomorrow!

Everything is so green over here! That's the biggest difference between here and Australia. They get so much more rain than us and everything is so lush and green! It's amazing! I can't get over it.

I've found some really cool pressies for some friends, which was hard because you can't find a lot of original london souviners that aren't tacky or that don't cost a fortune, so I'm glad I found what I did.

ALSO! Jo and I saw the musical We Will Rock You yesterday (Saturday) arvo at the Dominion Theatre. It's one of my favourite musicals of all time and it was sooooo cool to see it again! The crowd really got into it, especially at the when they did the intro of Tie Your Mother Down and We Will Rock You. I can't stop rabbiting on about how great their Commander Khassagi was! He was fantastic!

I must head off now but I'll update you all on how I'm going soon!
Much love
Brigid

First overseas adventure blog!!

Hiii everyone! I finally write a blog!

We're staying with some people dad knows and my goodness, they definitely know how to take care of some tourists! I've spent just about a week enjoying the sites of England, including two visits to London (AND we got to see Jacinta, my cousin, on one of those visits!! YAY!) We've seen Windsor castle, Stonehendge, Madame Tussards Wax Emporium, The Globe Theatre, Greenwich, London Dungeon, Big Ben, the Guards, the Tube, Double Decker Buses, St. Pauls Cathedral and Cambridge University, amongst other things. I've taken 400+ photos already!

I can safely say myself and the family (minus Tim, who's at home doing exams still) have had the full English experience, complete with a bomb scare! This happened when we were having dinner with Jacinta the other night at a nice resteraunt, when we were looking at some security outside the resteraunt looking at a blue bag with a suitcase inside it, and just as we were finishing our food, the manager started going around to the tables and asking us to quietly leave because the package was suspicious! Two good things came out of that; the package DIDN'T blow and we got a free meal! Yay!

We're heading off to Scotland in a few days, so that will be very exciting!

Until next time
